I went to the
Drawing Club hosted by Bob Kato the other night - haven't been in a while and it was a much needed drawing break. If you've never been it's a great, relaxed environment to draw in and I highly recommend it. I decided to go last minute and scrounged together some story sketch pads and some markers (including one of my son's washable crayola markers (which actually was great to color with! (- it's like a watercolor pen!))
I had to stitch some of them together because the paper was too small and I drew on multiple pieces. Some of them I just drew as a story sketch. Next time bring bigger paper!
It was great seeing my good friend
Rune Bennicke again but, there's no way I would sit next to him - he's got crazy drawing skills and I didn't want to be depressed seeing them next to my scribbled nonsense!

yay! you posted them! :) awesome sketches, and it was great meeting you at the Drawing Club, too!
thanks Davin! nice meeting you as well!
These are amazing!
Dude, these are awesome. Tell me when you're going next time. I might join.
Damn, I want to come watch you draw!
Such great gestures... and they look even better with the added Marker.
So gooood! Especially love the 4th one down with the creepy red eye. That fabric was really complex, so it's really neat to see how you handled it.
Damn these are fine, FINE sketches!
These are gorgeous! so much life :)
Wow, these are beautiful!
thank you all - much appreciated!
Gorgeous drawings, Paul! I'm inspired.
So sweet! I need to come out to one of these!
